Studying at Georgetown University With an objective to become a Physician

I've always envisioned myself as getting the sort of physician that's an integral portion of the community I reside in. I really believe the role of a physician extends beyond merely being a physician for a patient. Becoming a medical professional is a privilege that could place me in a position to become a pillar to my network. I understand that Georgetown University understands this idea, from its give attention to cura personalis, to its guidelines of community services. Georgetown offers many tools that could allow me to condition myself in to the type of physician I try to become.

Georgetown University's premise of cura personalis, a concept that aims to heal both actually and psychosocially intrigues me. I understand that the underlying concepts of cura personalis had been designed to respect each individual individual, especially those who find themselves the most disenfranchised in our world. This concern for the many vulnerable members of world draws me to Georgetown. Georgetown acknowledges the presence of the working category and underserved individuals inside our society; and also those that feel they aren't acquiring the proper representation.

I commenced volunteering at a Kingsbrook Jewish INFIRMARY, an acute care center in Brooklyn, as an individual advocate and navigator. As an advocate I provided a tone of voice to patients who originated from my own community. When I performed follow-up surveys I was delighted to listen to them speak positively about their hospital appointments, which for most persons can be a painstaking task. I try to deepen my commitment
